THE ALBUM STORY
Released in the Summer of 2007, All We Have is Christ’s Covenant Church’s third recording project. A producer from Nashville heard one of our previous in-house recording projects and was interested in working with us to help us rerecord 7 of our songs more professionally. The result was this slightly refurbished 7-song EP.
The title of the CD, taken from a line in the opening track “Surrender,” is intended to capture two concepts that are key in the life of the worshiper. Worship means saying to God, “We surrender all we have to you. There is no area of our lives that we are unwilling to relinquish to You.” But worship also means moving to the place where we can truly say, “You are all we have. We have found you entirely satisfying, and we want nothing more.” Worship grows to more and more honestly say, “We withhold nothing from You because we are convinced that You have withheld nothing from us. Take all we have, because when it’s all said and done, You are all we need.”
We hope that these songs will play a part of moving you toward that glorious place of satisfied surrender.
